Another week of Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) girls volleyball games kicked off Monday across the isle.
KSH 3, Waiakea 1
Kamehameha Schools-Hawai‘i girls volleyball faced its biggest test of the season against No. 2 BIIF DI-ranked Waiakea in Hilo, and the visiting Warriors took care of business handily. KSH won in four sets — 25-12, 19-25, 25-21 and 25-12.
Maile Kuamo‘o helped lead the distribution of KSH’s offense with 28 assists, dishing to the likes of Camryn Grace (14 kills), Mia Polloi (11 kills) and Shay Beals (nine kills). Beals also earned three service aces.
Defensively, Kealohi Dudoit posted an impressive 24-dig performance, followed by Grace, who had 13.
With the win, KSH has officially started 8-0 for the third straight season. Now comfortably ahead in the BIIF DI standings, the Warriors additionally played against Ka‘u on Tuesday night at home. See Thursday’s paper to read the results.
Waiakea (5-1) additionally played Tuesday against Pahoa at home.

HPA 3, Parker 0
Hawaii Preparatory Academy girls volleyball ended Parker’s unbeaten start with a straight-sets sweep at Castle Gym — 25-14, 26-24 and 25-21.
Ka Makani jumped to 6-1, while Parker fell to 7-1. HPA will return to action Friday, slated to host Makua Lani Christian Academy at 5 p.m. in Castle Gym — beginning with junior varsity first.
Parker will try to get back in the win column at 4 p.m. tonight against Ehunui in Waimea.
JV: HPA wins 2-1 — 25-13, 21-25, 15-9.
Kealakehe 3, Ehunui 1
Kealakehe girls volleyball notched its second consecutive win over Ehunui inside the Waveriders’ gymnasium.
After beating the ‘Io in straight sets over the weekend, Kealakehe picked off right where it left off. The ‘Riders won by scores of 25-13, 25-8, 21-25 and 25-14.
Kealakehe is now at .500 on the season at 4-4. The ‘Riders will look to get their fifth win at 5 p.m. tonight against Kohala at Kealakehe High School. Junior varsity will face off first.
Ehunui (2-5) plays Parker tonight. See Thursday’s paper to read results.
